Edward I.O. Sakwe
RN, BSN.
Hi, my name is Edward Sakwe, but many people call me Sakwe which reflect the originality of the name from the great Nation of Oroko in West Africa.
I’m a father of 2, and a Registered Nurse by profession. For about a decade now, I’ve had the opportunity to provide compassionate care in a variety of settings including hospitals, home health, post-surgical rehab, Long Term Care facilities, Assisted Living, county Jail, and community outreach.
Throughout my life as a nurse, I have come to realize that there is one thing all patients or residents have in common irrespective of where they are, and that is genuine compassionate care.
So, I decided to start this blog to educate the public on what the patients, residents, and health care workers go through on daily basis, the challenges they face, and possible ways to address those challenges using 5 minutes of our time. Remember, it doesn’t cost anything to smile, and with 5 minutes of your time you can change the life of a patient, a resident or a staff.
